About LCA

Purpose

The purpose of Las Cruces Academy is to enhance people's lives through education and community-building. Superficially, we're a private school for gifted and advanced children; really, we're much more. LCA Outreach, the arm of LCA dedicated to engaging and educating others in the community, was formed the same day LCA itself was. Pushing bright and motivated children to fulfill their potential is worthwhile by itself, but cultivating creative, knowledgeable, and ethical leaders is our ultimate goal.

That goal is precisely why Las Cruces Academy is a school for gifted and advanced children. By exercising our students' intellects and continually instilling the value of service in them, we plan to provide Las Cruces with graduates who will not only have already given back significantly to their community, but who will put Las Cruces on the map as the hometown of extraordinary scientists, artists, diplomats, and more. To learn more about how we plan to do that, you can visit the curriculum, philosophy, and people pages.
