LCA parent Paul Bowman originated a new one-semester course in automotive mechanics with two sections. one for grades 3-5 and another for grades 6-8. Tools, fasteners, and concepts fill the class. They took apart two lawnmower engines as part of the course – first time to see a piston, a crankshaft, and all.
