Climate knowledge

28 October 2017. Board Chair Vince Gutschick is a co-organizer and presenter at the statewide climate conference this Saturday.  He’ll share his knowledge of a range of sciences, as outreach to the public that is part of the LCA mission statement.  His presentation is about the biology of global change, which includes both climate change and land-use change.  The conference runs 9 AM to 3 PM, and it links Las Cruces, Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Taos via Zoom videoconferencing for an estimated 400 attendees.  The venue here is the Southwest Environmental Center at 275 N. Main (cross street: Las Cruces Avenue).  Vince’s talk is at 10:40 – 11:00.  Registration is $10 online or at the door and it includes a breakfast snack and a box lunch…and, more importantly, interaction with regional and local people in science, business, economics, and government.
