Monday, 27 March 2017. Retired seaman Dale Redd from the nuclear submarine USS James Monroe SSNb engaged our middle-schoolers with stories of what a submarine is, and, likewise, a nuclear reactor for powering it, plus tales of life in a 500-foot-long “people tank” on which one’s life depends. Dale will return on Tuesday, 4 April, with more illuminating stories about a major piece of technology.
