Archery Competition

Thursday, 20 April 2017.  New Mexico Game and Fish generously loaned us their archery trailer with a panoply of bows, arrows, targets, and safety backdrops.  The students in grades 3-5 and in middle school had been trained carefully in earlier sessions; they competed based on scores accumulated in 3 rounds.  Our top archer in middle school was Kira, followed by Frankie.  In grades 3-5, it was Erika, followed by Samantha and Janaki.  Their precision in nocking the arrows, drawing the bow, and releasing the arrow for flight was striking.
