LCA financial statement

This is the most recent financial statement for us as a non-profit educational charity under IRS regulation 501(c)(3). The fiscal year ran from 1 July 2024 through 30 June 2025.

We perform our mission as non-profit private school. Each year we submit our federal tax return or form 990 to the Internal Revenue Service, as do all non-profit organizations. This record is a public document by law. We post it on this website with an active link. Please feel free to look at our financial status, which is always developing to serve students better.

The form 990 is lengthy, at 48 pages. The parts of most direct interest are likely to be: p.1, the financial summary; pp. 5&6, in morfe detail; pp. 13-16, yet more detail; p. 11, our Board membership; and maybe pp. 7-10, showing the many statements we must affirm. Page 43 has a two-year comparison of our finances, which had some significant changes, especially our giving our teachers a major raise that shows up as increased expenses. Page 35 is Schedule O that has short narratives to clarify parts of our operation. Behind this report is a lot of bookkeeping, data-gathering, and financial planning.

We do it all so that we can keep our students growing intellectually, emotionally, and socially. In the current fiscal year, 2025-26, big changes have occurred as we bought the find building that we have leased for 13 years. A mortgage replaces rent payments, among many other changes. Bigger changes are coming as we must move to paid administration to take over carefully from Head of School Dr. Lou Ellen Kay and Board Chair/CFO Dr. Vince Gutschcick; they have worked 18 years as unpaid volunteers, contributing over 67,000 hours of their time. We look forward to many years of service.
